Tax Liabilities & Settling Arrears
Penalties & Interest
If you do not pay the tax you owe, or you did not comply with all your tax obligations, you will have to pay a 10% payment penalty on the outstanding amount, along with 1.04% interest charges for each month after the deadline date.
If you have an amount payable, you can choose from a number of payment options, e-payment, credit card, debit card and cheque over the counter at IRD Saint Lucia offices. If you have refunds for income years prior and subsequent to the year of liability, those funds can be applied against the liability and partially or fully offset it.
If you are still unable to pay the amount on time it is important to let us know and make alternative payment arrangements. You can come in to discuss your circumstances with one of our Collections Officers.
